Japan Christmas research.

Japanese Christmas is celebrated by eating KFC chicken for the meals they have each year. And also known as having the rich taste of a japan Christmas cake, or homemade pizza made with love and to share it with their Tomodachi which means friends in Japan language. Do the Japanese people have Christmas trees?

The decorations of the Christmas parts in their countries are all the traditional ornaments. The good side of how much they are into decorating around everywhere is given a corner in every house. They also have turkey for Christmas dinner, like how some other countries do but for new years as well. Ther Christmas trees, are everywhere around in their stores and homes and even have their own version of Santa known as the dad may be dressed up and playing, I did a mixture of Santa level and elf.

This week we have been doing this thing called Christmas count down I chose to do the wrapping paper I did the Rudoff level where you do Christmas trees in a pattern.

2019 fab finnish.

This week I did Ghosts high tops, a basketball, a Nike tic and his name up the top. I took my time and thought about it for a while. Now looking at it while it's done it looks pretty cool to me. I'm happy how it turned out. I did a character model and enjoyed the story.

Q. What is the S.T.O.P acronym for survival?

Q.Shelter

1. Build it on flat ground and not on a slop

2. Build it on high ground and away from high water.

3. If you want to make a shelter make sure you are close to trees.

Q. Finding fresh water

1. You should go somewhere with water you no is good and hasn't got so many bugs and seaweed in it.   

2. Boil the water to make sure all dirty stuff comes out.

    

 3. You shouldn't just drink out of a little rain spot of water on the ground and stuff you should find like a river around you.

Q. Basic first aid

1. a plaster is not always enough.

2. you should carry bug spray for cuts so no infections.

3. hand sanitizer would be good to try not and get sick.

Q. Signaling for help

1. It’s easy to communicate through walkie talkies. 

2. Yelling out to someone might not always be the right way to get help.

3. If you are lost and you're by yourself you shouldn't just cry and hope someone will just fall out of the sky for you.

Q. Fire

1. To make a fire you will need sticks.

2. You will need to make sure there not to much wind that it will blow it all out.

3. You need water to put the fire out.

The pretzel knot.

This is what I like to call the pretzel knot. I didn't get this online one of my friends tort me how to do this, I rate this knot a 5 out of 5 cause it's super easy and anyone can do it in about 3 seconds. You can use this knot on the washing line, trying to put stuff together in like a present or something. Lily

CC week 7 T4

This week for my Chapter chat I did creation station and drew the medal Coach Brody won in Olympics running. In the top right corner, there is a picture I made of a star that has lots of words in it describing Coach. Lily

Figure-eight knot

This is the Figure-eight knot that I learned how to do by myself. I rate this one a 5 out of 5 cause it looks cool and is quick and easy. You can use this in fishing lines and rods but you could try and do a double-figure eight. Lily

Alpine Butterfly knot.

 I did the Alpine Butterfly knot. I made it by wrapping it around my hand and twisting it 3 times. And I rate this knot a 3 out of 5, You could use this one in trying to tye stuff to your wast. Cause in hunting you can tighten and loosen it so in hunting you could put a bullet through to hold it in.

The hardest thing for our troops was trying to put up our real tent cause at the start it was a complete fail because we did not follow instructions and do what we were told. Instead, some of our troop thought they knew how to do some things when really all we had to do was just follow instructions that

What worked well? was after we followed instructions we knew what to do and how to put it up.

What did we learn? we learned how to put up our tent cause our teacher showed us what to do and what not to do.

Our troop decided on to different tents our one we were mostly wanting to do was the tarp tent. Because we have a tarp and some rope so we thought if we get the rope and tye it through the holes in the tarp and hook it onto the tree and get some tall sticks and put in the middle to try and hold it. And if that doesn't work we would do the tarp Tee Pee with is on the right-hand corner and the tarp tent is on the left.

This is the Chapter chat I did creation station and I built the gold medal coach Brody had won. He was in the Olympics and only 23 years old. And his dad sadly sold his medal for $20. I made it out of cardboard and wool. He won it in running.

The Kiwis bush shelter

 Q 1. Wher is the best place to build a shelter? On flat grounding. Because if it's going downhill and on a lean, your shelter could roll down to the bottom and all your materials would brake. For likes, if you made it out of sticks some of them could snap then you would have holes all through your roof and walls.
Q 2. What does the shelter need to protect you from? It needs a roof so rain can't get you to cause if you get wet you can get sick if you don't put a spear change on as well because maybe its really windy and cold.

• What materials could you use to build a shelter? you can yous sticks for walls, rope to tie your sticks together, trampoline for the bottom to sit on and stuff.

• What are some pros and cons of sleeping in a bush shelter? A pro is sleeping in something warm and a con is probably like sleeping in something cold cause a con is a bad cause like no one likes to sleep cold and a pro is good so sleep in something warm.

A way with words week 4.

This week I did away with words. For my CC I did the poem of Castle. I added in a bag of sunflower seeds in the background cause he loves them and the stolen shoes on a poster as well. I choose to do my poem of Castle cause hes like the main character. By Lily

Research CC week 2 tearm 4

This term I did research center for my Chapter Chat cause in the book we are reading this boy called Castle but his nickname is Ghost and that boy went into a store and stole a pere of these really  nice track running shoes and he saw a cop car go pass with his lights on and Ghost thought the cop was chasing him but no he was chasing someone bad. Later on, after the Cop car went passed. Ghost was like wow that must have been a really bad criminal who has done something and we all thought he was a doing a crime to cause he stole something. Also, part of my research center was too run around the 100m track in under 9.58 seconds and my time was 14 seconds.

This year I did the underwater scene of me diving down under the water looking to see what kind of treasure is inside of the treasure box. I chose this one cause I like to see the fish I added some jewels money and seaweed with a big black rock in the sand. I watercolored my background and used jovies for everything else. The kind of fish I put in was a jellyfish and octopus and just random fish swimming along as well. I enjoyed doing this too.

This is my week 10 CC I did it was a poster of rules that you need to follow at camp green lake.
This wasn't one of my activities to get stamped off on my hive chart to keep count on how many I have done each week. I did this digital activity for my best blog on the block, it was a little tricky to do this on google drawings. Cause I didn't use shapes instead I used polyline where you just follow your cursor and draw something. I decided to do this activity because I don't usually do this activity. By Lily

Lilys Blog challenge T3 book cover

This was my book cover I did by myself it was of the book called The giant Jam sandwich I have read it before. I enjoyed making this because I liked the hardness trying to find the shapes. In the end, I ended up with wasps and bees carrying the giant jam sandwich cause I wanted to change it up a little. By Lily

Fabulous finish

This is my week 9 T3 Fabulous finish that I did with Jessie it was so fun we did it of the Warden. Last year we did it of a character called Yellow Yamaha it was off the story, Where cuckoos call. And this year we did the story called Holes its called Holes because it's for boys that have really mucked up their life's and they reckon if you dig holes each day it can make you a better person. The Warden owns it so we did her. This term we did something similar we basically did the same as my character but we didn't add flaps. So we wanted to do something different so we both chose to do a More about me together. We choose a character out of the story we have been reading then draw or write it all. The different thing's to describe that person for our's we did, a sack of money with jewels around it, some smokers, bright red lipstick, a shovel a pestle and a bright red rattle snaked venom nail polish cause in the story she put it on and scratched Mr. Sir. We tried to add in as much detail as possible. By the way, the Wardens word she always used was ahh Excuse me then if someone talked she would keep repeating that same word. By Lily and Jessie

This is my week 7 CC creation station it was so fun I did it with Jessie we made a treasure box that Warden tried to claim in the story when really it was Stanleys. The Warden wanted to keep it cause ther was old jewels that were over 1.000 million dollars. By Lily and Jessie

Chapter chat digetal desighn.

This week I did a digital design, it was so fun. I liked it how I have made it stuck to the tree so it is like in the real olden days.

 It was hard drawing the words so it looked like an old font. The photo is supposed to be Kissing Kate Barlow I did from a few weeks back. It's a wanted poster so if anyone sees Kate make sure you report her dead or alive. You can have $2000 if you report her straight to an officer.

Week 5 CC term 3 Vocab challenge

This is my week 5 chapter chat we had so much fun doing this it was my vocab I did it with Jessie we used the app called fake text messanger we made it look like to people texting each other. We weren't allowed to just search up the meaning we had to search it up then put it into our own words the one I diddnt no most about was the parched one I wouldn't have actually thought it meant that you are really hot in the heat. This is my chapter chat for week 2 I did a digital design it  was so fun the book we are reading is called holes as you can see there is the book and the cover in the photo down at the bottom left corner the, deer and the boat are just to photos of things that I like to do my nickname on there was HL its my name but around back the front. It stands for Hammond Lily I am really happy on how this has turned out I think I've done a very good job.

Week 1 term 3 chapter chat creation station

This week we have been doing our term 3 chapter chat the book was called Holes I did this with my friend Lily it was so fun and I feel we used the learning power of Resilence because we only had 1b hour to finish it and we hadn't of even done the words painted it done the little pieces of detail to make it look like wood but we didn't have enough time to paint and write the words on so we just had to quickly print them out but by accident we didn't try to but we put some of the words in the wrong order. This is the fabulous finish I did with my friend Jessie we did Travis in his use his garage and added in lots of flaps and detail Travis is a builder in the garage theirs lots of tools in the toolbox and in his lights there are to hammers and a scrue driver and tishued the wheels to make them pop out more then we painted them everything but coulerd the background in crayon sorted things. Chapter chat week 7.

This is my week 7 Chapter chat I did didgetile design this week I created a movie trailer but diddnt get to fill it or act it out even once or take a photo we just couldn't cause we ran out of time I did this with Jessie, since we didn't fill we put the script part that we wrote down who was who says what and everything so basically you just read it and make your own kind of movie trailer with pictures and everything in it to.
